1. Wash before use: Always wash your new cotton bedsheet before using it to remove any chemicals or sizing used during manufacturing.2. Wash in cold water: Use cold water (30°F/1°C) to wash your cotton bedsheet as hot water can shrink and damage the fabric.
3. Use a mild detergent: Use a mild detergent that is free of bleach and fabric softeners as they can weaken the fibers and affect the color of the bedsheet.
4. Avoid using fabric softener: Fabric softeners can coat the fibers and reduce their absorbency, making them less effective at wicking away moisture.
5. Do not bleach: Bleach can discolor and weaken the fibers of the cotton bedsheet, so avoid using it.
6. Tumble dry on low heat: Tumble dry your cotton bedsheet on low heat (120°F/49°C) to prevent shrinkage and damage to the fabric. Avoid using high heat as it can cause wrinkles and shrinkage.
7. Iron on low heat: If necessary, iron your cotton bedsheet on low heat (110°F/43°C) to remove wrinkles. Avoid using high heat as it can damage the fabric.
8. Store properly: Fold your cotton bedsheet neatly and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent fading and discoloration.
